On Thursday the 8th June, Cosgroves in Rimington were delighted to welcome  Susan Rumfitt along to give a fascinating talk about how jewellery and fashion have been linked throughout the 20th century.

Susan is an independent jewellery specialist based at her gallery in the heart of Harrogate and one of the team of specialists on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.  She spent the early part of her career working for Christies. Now based in Harrogate, Susan travels extensively for her business which involves the valuation, selling and acquisition of jewellery on behalf of clients.  She also writes for Homes and Antiques and Antique Collecting magazines.

Susan shared her knowledge with Cosgroves customers and spoke with interest about  jewellery throughout the 20th century.  She then gave consultations and valuations on jewellery people had brought along to the event.

The event was in aid of Petal Children’s Cancer Research which included a light lunch and the opportunity to have a valuation of a piece of jewellery.  A fantastic sum of  £855 was raised on the day for the charity.

Another successful and enjoyable day for Cosgroves customers at Rimington.
