Cosgroves staged the Basler Fashion Show at its Rimington showroom on Thursday 8th September to great applause. Guests enjoyed a beautiful gift in the form of a scarf, fizz, a light lunch and the new Autumn /Winter collection and style tips by Gerry Verge, Head of Wholesale UK for Basler. The much loved German fashion house presented the key trends, themes, colours and fabrics running through the season.
Basler presented numerous coat solutions from the quilted ski to the wool funnel coat. Autumn / Winter is a transitional era with wearable clothes that can be layered for wear all year round. Think down coats in minky shades with terma fleece, edged in rabbit one side with a reversible lustre darker side. Big news also this winter is still ponchos, gilet and wraps, signature pieces are the rabbit gilet or knitted gilet edged with fur – very luxurious and practical.
Texture and checks are coming through this season to compliment the colour stories in the collections. Colours such as silver grey, which works well with everything in the wardrobe – dress up or down for an easy weekend look. High performing fabrics layer up of over soft knits and floral blouses too. All the pieces mix and match for sporty daytimes into evening glamour. There is a new jean shape called Betty with an easy fit and shaping, which joins the famous Norma Jean jean and classic Diana trouser.
